Kids & Kin Statewide ZOOM Trainings: September 2024 – March 2025

The Family Guidance Center of Alabama is offering a series of Zoom trainings for caregivers through the Kids & Kin program. The sessions, running from September 2024 through March 2025, will take place on Mondays from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. These informative trainings are designed to provide valuable resources and knowledge for caregivers in various areas of childcare and development.

  • October 21: What Every Caregiver Should Know About Baby Shakes & Tremors 
  • October 28: What is Stuttering (Disfluency)? 
  • November 4: How to Talk to Kids About Human Trafficking 
  • November 18: When to Worry About Toddler Aggression 
  • December 2: Growth & Development: 6 to 12 years 
  • December 9: The Power of Decision Making (APT) 
  • January 13: ADHD Signs & Symptoms 
  • January 27: How to Talk About Money as a Family 
  • February 10: License Requirements for Becoming a Home Daycare Provider 
  • February 24: More Than 1, 2, 3… What is Early Numeracy? (APT) 
  • March 10: The Power of Defeat 
  • March 24: First Aid & Safety 

Caregivers are encouraged to participate in these sessions to enhance their skills and understanding of child development, safety, and caregiving strategies.
