West Blocton High School teacher awarded $1,000 through “One Class at a Time!”

Special to the Press

For 22 years, CBS 42 has been proud to present local teachers with $1,000 grants through its One Class at a Time program, honoring educators who work tirelessly to make a positive impact on the children in Central Alabama.

This week, CBS 42 Meteorologist Alex Puckett, the Chic-fil-A cow, and Chic-fil-A of Birmingham representatives set out to West Blocton High School in West Blocton, Alabama to honor one such educator, Jeff Clark, teaching environmental biodiversity to the high school students.

Passionate about helping students discover the value in the resources of Alabama, Clark plans to use his One Class grant to provide hands-on laboratory experiences for his students.

A teacher in West Blocton for eight years, Clark loves being part of building the foundation that will propel future scientists, naturalists, and outdoor enthusiasts.
