Moundville Native American Festival to be Held on October 3-5

The Moundville Native American Festival, located at Moundville Archaeological Park on October 3rd through the 5th, offers a deep dive into the rich cultural heritage of Native American tribes – including those that were located right here in Bibb County. Held at 634 Mound State Parkway, Moundville, AL, the festival provides visitors with a unique opportunity to explore one of the most significant Native American archaeological sites in North America. 

The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available for purchase at the event for $10 with free admission for children aged 5 and under.  

Visitors can enjoy traditional Native American crafts, music, storytelling, and dance, along with educational exhibits on the history of the region. This family-friendly event offers an engaging way to experience the vibrant traditions and history of Native American culture, right in the heart of Moundville’s ancient earthen mounds.
