Shots Fired During School Class Event on Duff Road

During a friendly gathering of school classmates on Saturday, August 24th, at C & J Farms along Duff Road, an argument broke out, leading to gunfire. Around 10:13 PM, calls were made to dispatch, prompting a rapid response from law enforcement.

 

We spoke with Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade, and he responded, “The Bibb County Sheriff’s office was dispatched Saturday night to the area of Duff Meadows in Brent where there was a class reunion event. My Deputies as well as multiple other in county agencies responded including West Blocton, Woodstock, Brent and Centreville. Upon arrival multiple vehicles were found to have been shot and 2 gunshot victims. One victim was shot in the arm another shot in the head. Both victims are recovering at home. At this time one arrest has been made in connection with the shooting. Local resident, Tarrance Griffin has been charged with attempted murder. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
