West Blocton Police Department Offers Friendly Reminder Regarding House Numbers

By Savannah Logan

Whether or not we ever plan to, reaching out to law enforcement for whatever reason for help can be inevitable at some point in one’s life. Whether for aid in safety from a dangerous threat, medical assistance, or in the case of a fire, having your house number in a place that is easy to identify could be lifesaving.

In a post on Facebook, The West Blocton Police Department reminded all residents how important it is to be sure that your house number is clearly marked and visible on your home.

Not just a matter of convenience, the West Blocton Police Department noted that it is crucial to the wellbeing and safety of the whole community. In a situation that requires an emergency response, quick identification of one’s address is crucial.

Not only is it important for public safety, but it is also required by town ordinance that all residential and business properties have visible street numbers.

To ensure that your home or business is in compliance with this requirement, the West Blocton Police Department is ready to help. If you or someone you know is in need of new or updated numbers, they are happy to provide them to you. For more information or assistance, reach out to the West Blocton Police Department at 205-938-7622.

As Chief Pete Hicks wishes to remind everyone at every opportunity he can – they are here to help!
