The fall season is upon us, and with it comes the much-anticipated homecoming celebrations for our high schools. West Blocton High School and Bibb County High School are both gearing up for their homecoming parades, and here are all the essential details you need to know to join in the fun. 

West Blocton High School Homecoming Parade 2023: 

Date: October 6th, 2023 

West Blocton High School’s homecoming parade is a much-anticipated event that truly celebrates Tiger Pride and the strong bond of togetherness of the Blocton and Woodstock communities. You sure don’t want to miss out, so here’s what you need to know: 

Parade Line-up: 

Lineup for the parade starts at 10:30 AM at WBHS. 

Parade Start Time: 

The parade will officially begin at 12:00 PM. 

Participation Fee: 

To participate in the West Blocton Homecoming Parade, there is a $5 cash fee. 

Parade Location: 

The parade will line up in the main parking lot in front of the high school. Participants who are riding in the parade are required to park and then walk over. 

Rules and Regulations: 

All individuals involved in the parade are expected to abide by all current school rules and procedures. 

While distribution of candy is allowed, any other items need to be pre-approved.

Bibb County High School Homecoming 2023: 

Date: October 6th, 2023 

The Bibb County High School Homecoming Parade promises to be a fantastic event that celebrates school spirit and community pride. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all Choctaws, here are the key details: 

Parade Registration: 

If you want to be a part of the parade, you must register with BCHS. To do so, simply fill out the registration form and return it to the BCHS office by no later than Friday, September 29th. Alternatively, you can email your registration to terrys@bibbed.org. 

Parade Numbers: 

Parade numbers will be available for pick-up on Wednesday, October 4th, and Thursday, October 5th, until 3 PM. 

Eligibility: 

All parade entries must be affiliated with BCHS or its feeder schools and their students. 

Please note that there are specific vehicle and entry limitations. Beauties must belong to the year 2023 or increments of 10 for alumni classes. 

All parade entries are subject to approval. 

Line-up and Schedule: 

Entries MUST have a parade number to enter Heritage Park Drive. NO ONE is allowed in once the road is closed at 9:00 AM without their number. 

Make sure to load your floats at a different location and ride over to get in line. Avoid loading floats across the road in the Piggly Wiggly Parking lot. 

Depending on your number in line, be prompt on the time given to you for line-up. Staging will begin at 9 AM on Heritage Park Road. 

NO ONE is allowed on Heritage Park Drive without a parade number. 

By 10:45 AM, the parade will be in line to depart onto Main Street at 11:00 AM. If you are late, you will be placed at the back of the line.

Important Note: 

Per the Cities of Brent and Centreville, they do not allow the throwing of candy, trinkets, paper, toys, or any such objects during the parade. This is in accordance with Brent Ordinance #2021-11-01 and Centreville Ordinance #2021-11-09-A. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
